Palm tree car got a new car

Re: Palm tree retro/ search for tires

Just run the stock size i.e. re mount your current tires, unless they are shot.

You are currently running 225 60 16 right?

Re: Palm tree retro/ search for tires

I planned on getting new tires either way there is no way in hell im doing winter with my current ones again. Im thinking just running these till fallish

Re: Palm tree retro/ search for tires

I'm going to have my current ones remounted for now. jew mode engaged

Re: Palm tree retro/ search for tires

Make sure you have them balanced with the weights ONLY on the inside of the rim, you don't want them nasty things on the outside, it just ruins the look of the rim IMO. I static balanced mine.

Re: Palm tree retro/ search for tires

Well for under 400 bucks its not a huge selection.

But going off tirerack here for prices I found 3 that I would run on my car.

Yokohama Avid Touring S, $364, we sell tons of them at my work, 50-60k mile tire.

Kumho LX Platinums, $368, heard they are okay, havent seen many.

Firestone FR710's, $392, great all season, 50-60k mile tire, exact tire I am buying.

You can still do dynamic balance with sticky weights on the inside of the rim and pound on's on the lip. I only do static when they are super gay rims or I just don't give a **** because they are some bull**** 20's or 22's with massive tires.

I just used pound ons, no stick on. Still got 0.00.

hmm only firestones that i found were firehawks

Look harder, they are there for 225/60/16.

Right, if you put the weight where it wants it in static balance it will always zero out, but if you switched it back over to dynamic while the tire was still on, it would still be off for a true balance of both the inside and outside of the rim. Being a 16in rim that isnt aftermarket along with it being a stock-ish size tire you wouldnt really notice it.

Re: Palm tree retro/ search for tires
