Ok sooo S/C SVT Focus

So yes Im a fan of the SVT focus. I have somone that wants to trade his has a Jackson S/C kit on it. About same miles 4 years newer. Anyway NOT COUNTING that its a focus... Should I trade my GS for this. I know its going to be the same powerwise. Any cons on these cars you can think of??? BESIDES IT BEING A FOCUS lol
 


Those SVT Focus' can get down, but it's probably had a rough life and SVT parts aren't cheap. There' s a reason he wants to trade you.

I'd keep the GS.
 


My friend happened to have a SVT fookus with the JRSC kit. He ran a 13.9 in it. The highercompression on the engines really limits them. Also I think he had lots of axle and diff issues if I remeber correctly. When he sold it someone drove like 1,200 miles to get that car lol
 
Sooo I was a super creapo like I usually am when it comes to car hunting and searched his email name and found out he posted in October he was having some clutch slip issues at higher RPMs.... He also said he bought the car a month before.... Soooo yea Im calling him out on that as we speak. Nice guy and all BUT yeaa
 
They are slow, and although the look of them has grown on me over the years, they're not that pretty. BUT, they make for an excellent little autoX car, and IMO are very fun cars to drive around. I'm not sure I would care to make it fast in a straight line, kinda ruins the point of what the car was ment to be....but that's just my opinion I guess.


And although I'm obviously a fan of SVT products, I wouldn't make this trade unless you plan on doing alot of autox. And aside from that, it sounds like you might just being buying someone else's problems with this car.
 




i had an 89 sho...and boy would it put fox bodys and some lt maros in the rear view....god the things ford can do when they try a little
 
i loved that car..looks so fugly. big ol dual pipes straight out the back. and in all seriousness they freaking get down. when the sho shop was still around they had some goodies for em they made them retarded. had a buddy with a snailed sho....thing smoked alot of c5's from a roll. sold it to some dude in texas, made it in a few mags and then blew it up.
 
i love my regal but get the itch every year for sumthing new even tho I've fixed every common issue with these regals. Would just be dumb on my part less than 70k on the gs too. Hmmm maybe a jeep lol oh but no focus for me sounds like he's trying to dump a clutch issue on me
