Oil leak

I unplugged it and had the car running. I'll restart it once I get home and see if its pouring out the end. After the car ran for a bit the other day I looked and the bottom of that sensor was dry. I'll look at it again once I'm home and post what I find

your best bet maybe to get it up on ramps, and get some new clean card board under it, then let it run for a while, or drive it some then ramp and cardboard and then when the leak hits the cardboard trace it back up.

I have it on a stand, I've seen it drip from the bottom engine mountish area mostly

if its all oil slicked looking and hard tell where its coming from, get a can of brake cleaner and a rag, and a stick if need be to clean the sides of the block up. the brake cleaner will take the shine away, then as its running you'll see the new trail of oil.

v/c gaskets can leak down, the pan of course, and the timing cover and oil filter housing are all suspect. then theres the rear seal, but this is from the pass side from what iv read.

all of these parts can leak to the oil pan top rim and then follow the rim till it drips off. so clean the pan real good too check that for new oil after cleaning it.

Well... What size plug did you use, Scotty? =P
About to make sure the car has oil in it and then clean it up a bit and then start it up

Hmmm.. Does the car absolutely need it? Haha

truth is by the time it sets the light on the dash its to f ing late already. iirc it wont wet the light till its see's 5 psi or less, and bam its f ed already.

best thing to do is to put a oil pressure gauge in. that way you always know. you'll even be able to tell if your a quart low on oil just by looking it it. thats once yuo learn the full hot idle pressure, once you see that drop a psi or 2 check your oil, it will be low.

The other thing you can do it clean the **** out of everything that has oil on it with brake cleaner and put a dye in the motor oil. Make sure you have a quality UV light to spot the dye leaking

I bet its the seal that goes behind the harmonic balancer.

I mean it is a brand new seal but I wonder if maybe it didn't seat right. Shouldn't be too terribly hard to get that balancer off =]

Vice grips on the flex pipe and use a breaker bar.. Should come off easily. Still could be a defective seal.. I had to replace a new one before because it wasn't seated right and was gouged

I'm thinking maybe breaker bar and turn the car over? ;) I've already had to do the breaker bar/flex plate once before whrn the engine was out of the car and it sucked. I only have like a 12" breaker bar lol
