Ohstu Tires?

Anyone here ever hear of or have experience using Ohstu tires? They seem pretty good although the treadwear rating isn't the greatest, but at 480 especially at the price that number isn't a big concern for me. All I know about them is that Ohstu is part of Falken/Sumitomo a Japanese company & the customer reviews I've read searching online seem positive. I just want some opinions here before I bite the bullet

If you care about winter traction, do not buy. Those are cheap tires for a reason and the tread life won't be that long.

Those tires are kinda similar to the sumic brand and doral brand tires. They work but are very cheap tires.

If you want a decent tire that won't break the bank go with Uniroyal Tiger Paws or BFG Advantage TA's. Those will run you around 300ish before install most of the time.

I don't care about winter traction at all she hibernates those months lol.

I have Cooper CS4 ultra touring on there right now I believe they are about 8 years old and I swore by them, however they have since been discontinued. I am a bit skeptical with the CS5s I put those on the wife's old fusion and they wore out pretty fast and got noisy toward the end. Plus I am a bit confused with the CS5, CS3 & Evolution Tour now. The last one there doesn't seem to be any reviews out there yet.

I don't think I'm doing the Ohstu tires. Apparently they make road noise after some wear. Seems to be a fairly common thing for all Falken tires.

I did find my answer to the Cooper tire mystery. Apparently the Evolution tour is replacing the Cs3 with supposedly lower rolling resistance. The CS5 is the "high end" touring tire.

That said, anyone have luck with General Altimax RT43's? The local tire place is having a sale on them.

I used to have CS3s on my GP and now have CS5s on my current GP. Also have Falken's on my winter car.

CS5s are pretty good. I only got the Touring tire but there is also an Ultra that is a little more of a performance tire. I have ~2k on them and them seem to hug the road pretty well. After rebates on Discount Tire, i got them for $60 a piece. I'd highly recommend checking them out. Especially around a holiday.
