• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Has anyone used this one of ebay ?
OBD-II-2 OBD2 EOBD Code reader DIAG PC INTERFACE V1.3

OBD-II-2 OBD2 EOBD Code reader DIAG PC INTERFACE V1.3:eBay Motors (item 320417712411 end time Aug-31-09 12:10:04 PDT)

Seems pretty cheap and easy to use. I am just getting tired of having to run to the parts store to borrow their scanner each time my car throws a code.

This comes with multiple software and uses your laptop via USB and can scan live and record. Seems pretty nifty for 20 bux.

Lets hear everyone's opinion on it.

Thanks in advance!

I hope it is awesome.........it is just my experience that anything that is $20(when other hopefully comparable equipment is much more) isnt very good.....I hope I am wrong if you decide to get this.

Ya i hear ya. I just mainly want something that will clear and read codes. If you think about it though. With the regular scan tools ur buying the computer and the cables. This way i already have a computer i just need the software and the cable. Saves a person 300 bux. I might give it a try. Heck it's only 20 bux.

And you never know it might be a $20.00 POS like you mentioned it could be.

I bought something similar off ebay a couple years ago (so I couldn't tell you if they are the same guys). Worked OK for me, but when I opened the little box the chip inside was NOT the ELM322 chip, instead it was a PIC microcontroller hacked/programmed to behave like one. I could not tell you what it "lacked" that the real McCoy has, I have nothing to compare against. Bottom like though, is it did show and allow me to clear codes.

Cool, like i mentioned before i don't want a tuner just something that allows me to clear and read codes and if it does more than that so be it.
