• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Now with less white and more function.

Re: Now with less updates!

Nothing much, but did decide on a color for the blower.

Got the 105's on, retainers, and new seals. Head wasn't cleaned up yet. It's since been degreased, painted, and oiled.

Re: Now with less updates!

You sure that those are the stock LIM gaskets? Both of my engines had grey rubber seals. That, and your's don't look too bad, don't get me wrong, they needed to be replaced, but the few I have seen looked WAY worse.

Everything looks good, I can't wait to see the results. Your car has always been one of my favorite GPs, it's given me all kinds of ideas for my car.

Re: Now with less updates!

Opened up the LIM to match the Gen V outlet, opened up the coolant end cap area too, but no pics. Need to plug the coolant ports to the S/C tomorrow.

Got the TB all painted and put back together. Used some 1000 grit to smooth out the inside of the TB except for where the blade sits. Still need to drill and tap the plug for the EVAP stuff.

And just for ****s and giggles I did a impromptu mock up. Yes the TB adapter is loose.

Lighting was **** in the last 2 pictures so everything looks much darker and 'grayer' than it actually is.

Re: Now with less updates!

so did you port your throttlebody to match the 75mm opening on the gen v? any pics of the port job?

Re: Now with less updates!

^ That's a secret.

Under the TB, very very close to the crossover on the headers. wrapped them in cool-hose or whatever it's call. super high temp heat reflective stuff. havent had any issues yet.

but i dont see it coming out from the radiator support at all. teach me...

Re: Now with less updates!

Current plans (as in, trying to get enough time off of work to actually work on the car) are:

Gen V
Bastardized Cam, w/ 105 Crow Cam springs, Intense retainers, ZZP Viton seals
Home chopped L67 to L32 LIM
New timing chain and tensioner

Getting HPtuners soon, so that oughta be fun.

Debating larger injectors to be able to drop to a tiny pulley. Stock 3.8" will stay on the Gen V for awhile, until I get the hang of tuning.

Also, need to spend a couple days playing with the trunk, shave the lock, fill the spoiler holes and get the Daytona spoiler/trunk painted.

Re: Now with less updates!

Sorry for no updates for those who care.

Had a family emergency that has required my attention for the last month. Due to said emergency the car had to be slapped back together before the cam went it (insert sadface here)

This is right after everything got hooked back up and running. Nothing was routed out of the way or tucked any.

Re: Now with less updates!

Gen V definitely whines more than the Gen III. I'm getting right at 8.5lbs of boost with the 3.8pulley, intake, and headers. Stock tune with the Gen V is showing 2-3* of knock around 4400-5200rpm in 2nd, and a blip of knock right before the shift from first to 2nd. Plans are to get the cam in, drop to a 3.4 and tune it.

Also been working on the spoiler some these last few days, getting it ready to be painted and then tackle the trunk.

Also, have a couple pictures of my recent trip to the mountains.

Re: Now with less updates!

^^ Thank you.

I got the decal custom made, though I have seen 1 similar to it before on ebay (the O's were the rotors, but it didn't have the casing around them)
