• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Howdy gents. New to the forum, looking forward to getting to know the grand prix world better. Rollin over my 4th year with my 05 GTP, finally in position to mod her out. I've read through some different posts and already have learned some great stuff. Looking forward to chit chat with yall and gain some knowledge.

As of right now headers, IC, and tuned pcm to start. Then plan on to start testing out different pulleys, dropping to a 3.6 to start. You from Lebanon?

Yep... moved here from NJ in September of 2013... other than missing my friends and my mom and sister, it's been great.

Sounds like a good start for the car. There is a good thread about safely modding these cars somewhere on here. Check it out... some real good info. I have been reading the E85 threads with heavy interest... I have plenty of access to E85, but I don't want to kill my MPG... it has been nice getting 30+ on the hwy... my understanding is E85 would eliminate the need for an intercooler. This is a good forum, tons of good info on it.

Nice! I was born and raised at LOZ, went to school in Camdenton. I haven't looked into the E85 stuff at all. Never really caught my attention enough to mess with it. I think I have the forum your talking about. Had a guy yesterday point me in the right direction, basically step by step sticky that started from stock to mod potential of a 320whp car. Was really helpful but im open to any and all insight to secrets and pointers :th_thumbsup-wink:

Welcome to the forum navyguy, and wickedgoat, don't rub it in.I'd kill to have e85 stations everywhere, here I am having to run crappy 93.lol Lucky bastard.

My wife and I go shopping at the Lake often... Menards, Target, Kohls etc... our daughter loves Miner Mikes and Wobbly Boots... LOL

Since you have an 05 you have the better supercharger on it than us 97-03 guys. Not really many secrets to it... I'd start with headers and a downpipe, cone filter, home made cold air or splurge for a kit, drop a pulley size, tune it and see how it is. I am looking at the Bluetooth obd2 connectors and the Torque app for monitoring... knock retard needs to be watched because it can lead to destroying positions if not corrected... always use premium unless you decide to switch to E85. There are cams available and you can do rockers and port the heads for more power.

Lol heck I had many a birthdays at Miner Mikes back in the day. Wobbly is a great place too. If you ever get the chance, take a gander at Tirebiters. Great food and great people. Anyways I already have a K&N kit in it, cone filter. Made the mistake going that route instead of making my own, but at the time had limited resources and places to do any tinkering. And by tune you talking reprogrammed PCM? I plan on doing cams far down the road. Doing as much as possible as I can on the stock cam. Ill at least do rockers. I keep reading 1.9 this, 1.9 that... To throw in 1.9s do the springs and retainers all need changed too?

Yes, tuning means reprogramming the PCM to adjust for the mods you have done. As far as the rockers go I would change the springs and retainers while I was in there, especially if it is a higher mileage car.
