no boost on DIC after header swap

so finally this past thursday evening i finally got my SD headers done, after 15 hrs spanned over a weeks time. got it all together and have to touch up a couple things like a leak at the crossover and front header, leak at the dp after the u bend, and dent in the firewall for the front o2. Friday morning i took it for a test drive and layed into it and it pulls like a SOB now for sure, except the DIC reads no boost. i was chating yesterday with some guys and it could be because of the broken vacuum lines to the map sensor which i broke in the process of the install and took some pics of the broken lines and where they lead to. i also removed the EGR in the swap process and used the pipe flanges to create my own block off plates using nickles and rtv to seal the egr tube on the header and the port on the LIM, ill be checking those soon to see if they are leaking. so can anybody tell me what these sensor are for certain, where i can get these vacuum lines from, and if this is causing my boost problem?

This vaccum line is snapped off at the 'T' at the fuel rail and the line runs under the SC snout to a 'T' on the LIM, then runs under the Alt. to what i am assuming is the MAP sensor on the back side of the SC.

then the other side of the vacuum line that runs from the 'T' at the fuel rail is broken and runs to this thing what ever it is.

ya the vaccum lines are your problem...my brothres gtp wouldnt read boost...fixed a vaccum line...read fine....best bet is probably going to a junkyard

ok, cool. hopefuly they have a gtp i can pull from. damn things just fell apart really, i literally touched them and they came apart

do you happen to know what that solenoid is that is hanging on my firewall with nothing attached to it? its been like that since i got the car

Unfortunately I couldn't find that. But what I can do is post pix of my vaccum routing if you'd like. I'm a little confused though. I don't have the T fitting in front of the supercharger.

Just LMK if you want pix.

nah its ok 4th, mostly just curious as to what the thing is that has nothing attached to it and just hanging there

After you pointed it out I realized it was this "thingy"

Just another showing the vac lines better. I also circled the connector in the next couple just to serve as a refernce point.

I'm not exactly sure where the other vaccum line goes..ill check tomorrow.

replace all your vacuum line with rubber vac/windshield fluid line from advance auto.....welcome to no more vac leaks.
