so i finally found someone willing to swap trunks with me. i had a few guys with STIs willing to swap, but i didn't want that big monster wing on my car without the power to back it up or the other visual ques that the STI has. a guy in chicago was looking to go wingless and he swapped me straight up today for his WRX trunk lid.

the swap went really fast, these cars are super easy to take apart.

yes, i am going to debadge the WRX off the car. i still also have to splice in some wiring for the brake light on the wing, but so far i love how it looks. let me know what you think.
 


thanks, guy. if i really wanted to make this car look 100 times better than it does now (which there is a great improvement because of the wing) i could lower it and put the wheels on that i have on order. too bad lowering springs arent dirt cheap, hah.

Looks 10x better without a wing, and was one reason why I liked your car.
 
that seems to be the trend lately, kawa. everyone is wanting to go wingless, but i needed something on my car to make it look different. it looked so plain without anything on it.

everything i have bought so far will be for the STI when i get it. other than this wing, everything will swap over. this was something free and easy for me so i took it since i really hated the look of the car without anything on the trunk to give it some shape.

if i COULD put this trunk on the STI (id need the same color car and have time to switch them [not going to happen with a trade in unless i tell them to swap the trunks in order for me to buy]) then i would because i dont think im going to end up liking the STI wing as much.
 


That's a pretty nice wing, don't think I've ever seen it either.

I'm not gonna lie though, I dig the STI Wing. Something about it really puts the "rally" into the car. Plus it's bad ass to see something like that on a bad ass car.
