well i know i am a noob here so sorry if there is a forum up like this already.

I am looking at a newish car for the fiencee as her 20th b-day present. She already told me she loves the 05+ grand prix and impala ss'. my question is what would be better as a daily driven car, the gtp or the gxp? also something to add is she lives in ga and i am stationed in kansas so its mostley gonna be used for highway miles.

i just dont know which would be better for her a s/c v6 or a v8. but i would like some opinions on this subject please?

Get the GTP...she'll love the 2.93's gearing on the highway...further more...they are WAY cheaper and easier on gas. I've pulled nearly 33 mpg's on a highway run on sunday with a XP cam, headers, LS1 throttle body, 3.2"...etc...with a tune of course. Get that car tuned if you do buy it for her.

Just so you know in your search, the 04 and 05 GTP is the same thing as the 06 and 07 GT, all of them are supercharged with the L32 engine (L67 is the older gtp engine) and its easy to get 30 mpg highway with one

Custom Cold Air got me literally 3-5 mpg's. New plugs netted another 1-3. And I'm not kidding. I noticed the difference after the first fill up. And A LOT of the better MPG's is about pedal control...get too touchy with this drive by wire system and your MPG's go to poop. My balt eats gas if I'm in it too much. Can't wait to see what I'll get out of a catback LOL
