Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

1965 Grand Prix

New member
Hi,

Just joined and look forward to using this forum. I have a 1965 GP with a factory 4-speed and 40,000 original miles. I have also owed the following Grand Prix's, (3) 1965's, (1) 1969, (2) 1997 GT's, (1) 2000 GT and my step daughter just purchased a 1997 GT.

Hello all,

I registered day before yesterday morning. Can I post a message now? :th_nervous:

It's very strange. I was able to reply to some threads. Others I was denied. I have some good information that can help members. I'm not some spammer. Why am I being treated like a leaper? I sent an inquiry to the admin and received no response.

Have you checked your email and confirmed your account? If so, then the only two places you can't post in are the Free for all section and the for sale section.

Matt,

Of course I am properly registered or I would be able to post here. It's just piss poor moderation of the forum. Evidently you're not allowed to post a new topic until a mod approves it. Unfortunately the mods are either absent or nonexistent. Nobody ever approved my first post. It's about upgrading my radiator.

Well, for the heck of it I decided to try replying to help somebody and it worked. I have since replied to a number of threads. Some I was able to and some would not let me.

Oh well. There are other forums on the web. I guess I'll just move on to a working one. I have a lot of experience having owned mine since '97. GP forum, it's your loss.

Hope this works for pictures, if not please guide me on how to post some.

If you're properly registered, then you can create threads. There is no mod approval for creating a thread. PM a mod, they'll respond PRETTY quickly.

Wow... that is one clean Grand Prix. Be sure to treat it right. :th_thumbsup-wink:

Thanks for all the welcomes. The car is all original with one re-paint, 40,500 original miles and the original 389 engine. Not many options, the 4-speed is an option the GP came standard with a 3 speed. This same year you could get an automatic for the same price as the 4-speed so that is why there are not too many 4-speed 65 GP's. For options it has the following:

Tinted front window
Posi-trac rear end
Back-up lights
Eight lug wheels
Windshield washers
Heavy duty air cleaner
Push button AM radio (eat your hearts out, I've got AM radio) LOL
Outside rear view mirror

It has no power steering or brakes (fun to turn and stop)

I am planning a trip from Illinois to California on old Route 66 in the next couple of years with it.

My other toy is a SC427Cobra (AC Cobra replica) with a 600HP Keith Kraft engine. Driving both of these cars is night and day difference. One is a rollerskate on steroids and the other is a highway cruiser.
