• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

New, due to girlfriends incompetence.

I figure it's easier for me to swap engine/trans than actually work on it. And..that's pretty true for me. :th_scratchhead:

I am new due to my girlfriends incompetence in her ability to maintain her car. I am a Subaru guy, and don't know much about GM anything, let alone her car.
She has a 2004 GPGT. Now I am here to learn more about it and ask questions.

Although i drive an STi, i think i'll be active on here a lot due to not knowing **** about these cars other than they're slow :p

I am Chris by the way.

Subaru's are crap, especially STi's. They sound like ass and aren't even that fast.

:P

Wellcome. There's actually a few of us on here.

ahahaha almost got me! i almost went off on that one! ahahaha well played sir.
My track car was fully built with a rotated GT35R with 30lbs of boost.. it wasn't anything to mess with.

Also, what the **** is a timing chain? I've never heard of that.. is it a legit chain?

yeah OHV valve is chain, unless you're running triples and a direct drive conversion.

In which case you're the boss, and you know it.

Had to troll you for a minute, couldn't help myself. My apologies.

A timing chain is like our timing belts, except a lot less complex and it doesn't drive anything except the cam. W/P is belt driven on the 3800. My old GTP has over 180K on the original timing components with no reason to change them. Don't fix what isn't broken.

Rotated GT35R, eh? sounds nasty. I'm in the middle of a suspension build right now (RCE Tarmac 0 coilovers, swaybars, endlinks, etc) but this summer I'm thinking about doing a Dom3 XTR or TD06 20G build (stock location, biggest TMIC I can find, 850cc injectors (maybe 1200cc in case I switch to E85 later), pump, tgv deletes, all the good stuff. Or buying another motorcycle. Haven't decided which yet. If you're sticking around make a build thread here for your STi and check mine out. Otherwise I'll see you on the dark side (guessing you're on IWSTI, NASIOC, or both).

i vote for the bike:cool:

both would be nice tho

had 2 bikes in the past. Sold my first one when I bought my Cobalt SS, sold my R6 to get money to put towards the STi. I don't regret it, but I miss riding. I also think 375-400AWHP would be a ton of fun though.

Real chain..no like. This engine IIRC is at 133K miles

damn it IS a chain! ahaha that ish is off the chain! ahahaha i've never had a car with a chain ever. I've owned Subaru's my whole life, when the STi came out i bought one, modded the **** out of it, and bought another for daily driving. Sold the track car ( so no build thread sorry) and stuck with the blue one.

yes WAS a wow player, got rid of the thrall plate for a UMADBRO plate now instead.

So it snowed here today and all of a sudden the car is running warmer, and the TPS came on that little screen in the middle. ( just got the text from the girlfriend) Told her, **** this god damn piece of **** GP, we need another Subaru.. im just honestly fed up with the issues of this car and the money we're continuously dumping into it..

/rant.
Sorry for the rant.

Nice 636 but I bleed blue ;)

Miss my baby but money I got from it made the difference between buying a WRX and buying a STi.

Although I'm actually considering a SV just because the riding position is much more comfortable.
