• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Never assume NEW is GOOD

A couple weeks ago I put new plugs and wires on my 2000 SE 3.1 and started getting a 300 code random mis firing. Started taking the wires off to see if maybe I had some fowled plugs and the ends of 3 of them stayed on the plug. Paid $54 for the set because I wanted some good heavy duty wires. Taking them back shortly and see if new wires work. This is why it was running great one minute and sucky the next.

While they are off check the plugs to be sure. I have had my share of bad plugs right out of the box. During shipping they get dropped and one breaks you don't know until its back together. Also check the gap, could be off enough to cause the issue.

To be fair, I use the Borg Warner lifetime replacement wires because they were cheap, and I get all the replacements I want. I usually end up breaking 1 or 2 ends off each time I check the plugs, so its got good wires on it most of the time. Only wires known for being able to be taken off regularly without breaking are the OEMs and big name ones like Taylor, PRJs, ZZP, MSD etc... gotta spend the money to get them made right... but even they are not without some failures. It happens.

ZZP's ends fall off when you remove them, they are not "quality", just "expensive". Just sharing experience...

Dan.. $32 for Lifetime Autolite Professionals is what I buy. They are good.. IDK what you are getting for much less than that
