need opinion on tune........

ok i got a qs.. i found a tuner who lives 115 miles away... he tunes out of his own garage...he claims he uses HPTuners and for 225 bucks he can tune my car which includes "full maf tune,shift points,cruising for better mpg's and 1 free tune later in life, he can remove the gov...i asked bout his previous work and he says he has done bout 20 cars or more...almost all locals cars,cammed,turboed,ect.... what do u guys think or say..is it a decent price? what else should i look for in a tune?
 


is he experienced with the 3800 cars, there is a difference! my tuner buddy did mine...had lots of kr and the trans pressure was way tooo high!
 
he said he has done over 20 tunes...i was referred to him by a store/shop thats sales performance products...i know kr is knock...but whats does the r mean

maybe u can give me a tip on how to use the search button...honeslty.. i am not being stupid or dumb...i have tried to search many things and have the damnest time finding the info...like KR i typed in KR gave me nothing..then i typed in what does KR mean ..gave me nothing...when u say search button are u meaning on this site's search button or like google

no offense but my buddiy has tuned many badda$$ rides. i grew up w/him and have watched many sessions. cobra's, turbo silverado's, lsx cars, no problems. but he almost killed mine. he wanted me to get a canned tu and then scan it to let him see whats up with these motor/trans combos. look some members here just look for a thread to insult someone..they are just dick heads, every forum has 'em...but u gotta read all the stickies u can and "search" all u can before u ask a question thats been asked 1000 times. they could have said it differently instead of how they did..

I live in the states. Only 3800 Turbo cars without a resonator sound good. Anything with a blower and no res. sounds worse than a straight piped D-Series SOHC hatch.
