I need to remove my steering knuckle so i can take it and the hub to a shop so they can remove a rounded bolt for me, now i have gotten the outer tie rod nut to the end of the bolt but when i turn it now it just turns the bolt how do i get this bolt to stop turning.

grab the bottom with a pair of vise grips if you have already rounded it off then take the nut off with an 18mm wrench.

the bottom of it should be like 10mm or 8mm so you can put a wrench on the tie rod stud and on the nut.

tighten it back up and start over, (not kidding) sometimes it works, some times it dont. after you get the nut off whack it with a hammer on the side to pop it loose from the knuckle.

If you can cut the tie rod, then likely you can cut the head off the hub bolt that you are trying to get off. Just saying, maybe the answer to your problem is easier than trying to get the tie rod end off.

OK so I have now gotten the hub off the knuckle and I'm at the point where I'm trying to put the drivers side axle into the transmission and know matter what I can't get it to slide into the transmission.

yea never done an axle before. but i did get it to go, now apparently i some how fvcked the threads up on the ball joint gonna try to fix it tomorrow.
