For the past while my car has been starting to act up. After driving for awhile the dash
will die and the dic will pop up service stability system, service anti lock brakes and so
forth. the radio will turn off as well. Sometimes after awhile the speedo will turn back on
but the rest of the dash won't work. Sometimes it'll pop up and say charging system
failure but that is very rare.

Thanks for any help yall can give!

BTW somtimes i can turn the car off and can restart it and everything will work fine, other times it wont crank for awhile

So new update. As suggested that it could be the alt and was asked what was the voltage, so I went out to crank it and it wont crank. turn the key and the lights come on but dash is pretty much dead, DIC is dead, radio dead. engine light comes on as it normally would when you first turn key to on position but that's all it'll do. Turn the key to crank and nothing no click nothing. hooked a jump box to battery just to be sure it wasn't that and still same. Headlights and interior lights are bright as can be with or without jump box so battery seems fully charged. Hooked my scanner to it and it won't communicate with the car.

check the 3 grounds on the tranny bell housing, if they are ok, try beating the starter with a hammer, some times they come back to life.

also check the starter wires are on and tight still.

Noone has said the actual issue yet. What it sounds like is actually happening is your CAN bus is dropping out. Adeckers 04 loses the can bus every once in a while from a shoddy remote start install. Gauges all die and no abs or anything else yet the car still stays running. Cannot scan the car once it drops out. I cant say for sure if the can bus is effecting your no start issue but the rest of it sounds like it is your can bus or something on the can bus.

Yeah alot of people said the ignition switch before. Put a brand new GM switch in it still the same issues. On another note, when I was trying to get it to crank and it refused to i may have gotten a little angry and banged the steering wheel and everything popped on and it started. So loose connection somewhere?

An here I am still saying its not ignition power related if he cannot scan it when it happens. Obd2 port has constant power and wouldn't be dropping out with all of the switched power devices. Figure out what is making your can bus unhappy.
