• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Naturally inspired Grand Prix 3.8 mods?

As everyone stated the HV3 is a good mod to get the full benefit of the ER rockers. I passed CA smog with ER rocker, HV3, HV TB, K&N CAI and the borla catback. I had no probelm with the visual as I had a carb sticker for the K&N CAI. I am happy with the mods to make the car a more enjoyable daily driver. Don't expect too much out of an NA. If you want more power then go top swap or any car powered by a L67/L32.

I would recommend you look into some handling upgrades. You would enjoy that.

Awww finally someone in CA who has completed the mods to a N/A. Where are you located? I want to hear the Borla system and check out your ride. We are planning a gathering here soon. PM me if you are interested.

Turning into a pretty useful thread...minus people making me home sick for Oaktown

Glad to see info in regard to the 3.8 N/A. I later found out there was an extensive amount of info on another thread, but for us novice peeps I find this helped out a lot more. So your orignally from the "O" huh? I grew up there, where in Oakland you from?

Oak knoll, fruitvale and macarthur districts, not the nicest part of town. ;)

I know the area well over by the hospital. I grew up off High St and E14.

Right on! :th_thumbsup-wink: Spent most of my years near 35th & Macarthur, will be moving back in about a year to mill valley.

Sorry, for totally derailing an otherwise perfectly good thread....GAME ON! :th_peaceout:

Like I said bro, I'm going to make it happen one way or another esp since we dont have many people in the Bay Area with GP, seems everyone likes the Buicks instead.

I'm in the south bay area (redondo beach area). I have seen the thread for the gathering. It's a little far from my area. I have had the borla on the car for about 10.5 years. It was one of the first mods that I did. It was such a steal at $500 when I got it. I have passed smog every single year since I have had it. Til this day I like the sound the borla gives the car. I have read that the GMPP cat back has a similar sound to the borla. But I can't compare as I have never heard the GMPP in person.

I hear you The Guz, South Bay area huh? I happen to like the Redondo Beach area, been there several times. I hear Borla sounds really nice on these cars, but havent heard one in person yet to see what I like most. I met up with 2001GoldGTP last night and checked out his ride, mods, exhaust, ECT nice car with a good sound and he has flowmasters 44's I believe. I'm looking to the mods you advised above, but sure want to look into some handling upgrades.
