unless you get the BEST the first time , but then it falls in different areas of what you want : sound quality , daily driver , rattle your car apart , or full blown SPL comp. . each class has a subwoofer that out performs the other it is up to you to find out what YOU think is best . personally i would like to make my ears bleed from the pressure but you all arent gonna be as sick as i am . :D .

I'm getting 2, but I don't pay near that much. Their SS line is decent priced, and sounds as good as anything else I have used
 
w7 arent cheap by if you know ppl can save you some money. 2000 for a w7? where at? i hope with that you get a box and a good amp. i would never pay that much for a sub in my life.
 


i say for interior speakers at a decent price you cant go wrong with the jl vr series , if you want high end boston's pro or z series are freaking awesome . head units i love the jvc's w/the little 2.25"-3" tv's built in to a single din space . not bad plus they have tons of eq options built in .
 


I think JL is a really over rated brand. They do have great sound quality, but there is so much better you can get for less. You can get an 18" Fi Btl for $409 and those can run anywhere between 2000-5000rms watts.
 
i have heard some good things about the Fi brand . about jl i would never buy their subs just internal they sound great and have good bass and dont distort easily but like i said if i could for internals i would go bostons pro series or the spz series speakers .
 
My Infinity reference 1252W's have been working nicely for me. Even though they only have a 300rms max with a 1200watt peak power and I'm only running them at 250rms each they still make my car rattle like crazy.
 
that is another good sound quality speaker (Infinity) . my cousin has 4- 12" subs in his tahoe . they hit and sound really clean .
 
does anyone know anything about jl audio? i want to make my subs louder. i dont know if i should upgrade my amp or box. from what i was told these subs are 150rms 300max. I was thinking maybe getting a kicker or memphis 400-600 amp and getting a ported box. got any ideas or anything to say about my idea?
 


check with s1795so2, he's got some good stuff on the cheap in the for sale section and could prob tell you what you need.

dont buy a bigger amp . all you will do is blow your subs . if you go to jl's website you will see some recommended subwoofer enclosures . they give you directions and everything on how to build one . build a box that is designed for your sub with the correct measurements and any sub will hit . :D
