My S/C Port

Okay so I got my S/C ported locally here in Kansas. I had to compare it with a stock S/C & other aftermarket jobs. Heres mine next to a stock S/C:

And heres the wbodystore port:

I've never seen an M90 ported the way mine is. Do I loose boost? If I can drop a pulley size with that insane port job I deffinatly will. :D

I dont know, that looks way over ported to me, but without actual test results you never know. I dont know if the air has enough time to be ramped around with the way that was ported.

I would say put it on and try it out, who knows maybe it will surprise you with some crazy cool result probably not.

The reason why i doubt the efficiency of the blower is because the overall design of most superchargers. They have an obvious triangle for an outlet, not what you have (square on a triangle). And the triangle is a certain size in comparison to the rest of the blower.

Make sure the rotors aren't scraping against anything, put it on and try it out. Make sure you have a scan tool and or a boost meter.

:th_nervous: I hope this goes well for you...........where did you have the work done? Have they ported these before for use on our cars?

Yeah it deffinatly wasnt what I was expecting. If it turns out alright after I get the car scanned then I'll keep it on. Might hafta' drop a pulley size or two to make up for lost boost pressure? Lucky me I have a spare M90 to fall back on :th_sign-oops:

whine comes from the compression. if the blower doesnt compress the air, then no whine happens. with how wide open that is, i dont think it will whine.

Meh, it goes both ways...when mine was hogged to **** like in my XP start up vid on youtube...it was just ported like crazy and it whistled at idle AND whine pretty damned loud.

Well it looks nice, not how I do them, but for sure better than some of the hack jobs I have seen.

If it works well, then :D

If it does not...then :(

My Car Lives!!! I hasn't got power steering though. I cracked that line. Gonna be another day or so before I can really see how that port works for my car.
