• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

My official LeMons car thread questions and answer??

Some good news, some bad.....good news is the engine no longer leaks coolant once I changed the rear main seal cover gasket to the correct one, mocked up a 04+ lower air dam to help with cooling the vehicle also since it is designed to channel air to the wheel/brake area. Getting the SLP hood, MPD F1 spoiler and a new GM front bumper cover painted next week to match the yellow on the car by our body shop all for $300 including paint & materials.

Bad news is the ZZP aluminum radiator over flow tube pipe is too small and the factory hose that attaches to it was very loose, So I decided to try and un-screw it but all I did was snap it odd flush at the filler neck. Had to remove the ICM bracket to be able to drill it out and tap it for the correct size, ordered up a new aluminum fitting from Summit Racing and should be in by Monday. Ordered all new Dorman extended length lug nuts from a GXP since mine are too short part # 611-286 to cover the ARP studs. Still waiting to send out PCM but have to wait till pay day next week.

Things left to do for this weekend is install new rear hub bearings with ARP studs installed, drop the gas tank, drain old fuel and install new feed and return pipes from sending unit to filter, install EVAP solenoid to make it functional with the N* throttle body, rout a functional PCV pipe from back of GEN 5 supercharger so it functions properly and bolt up the FWI.

Once the PCM is done and engine is running then I can align the car and start tuning it from there, hope to try and get out to a local track for some shake down tests, get some miles on it to pass all the IM rediness codes, get it state inspected and get a current registration and plates and for those wondering why....I'm keeping it street legal so I can drive it around town cause i love the oddball looks I get when i pass people by.

Got some things accomplished this weekend. ARP studs installed in new hubs and on the vehicle, new wheel nuts from Dorman came in.

Had an issue with with the ZZP overflow hose nipple, broke it off the filler neck trying to match up with the hose. From ZZP the nipple is too small and the hose doesn't seal correctly, it had a hex on it but it just twisted off so I had to drill it out and install a brass NPT nipple to it but got it fixed

Installed a 4" FWI to the N* and 85mm mass air flow sensor with all new hose clamps.

Put the new GM front bumper cover on so I could modify it for better air flow by cutting out behind the license plate and add 2 additional openings right next to it in each side, still needs to be painted to match the rest of the car.

Finished with the front bumper modifications, cut out a matching opening on the passanger side next to the front plate recess, sending the front bumper, spoiler, and hood to the body shop this Saturday. Working on getting a fully functional EVAP system working tomorrow. Ordering new accessory belt and supercharger belt from Gates Racing in their blue line of belts, last but not least placing my order with Summit Racing for 3 new gauges, boost, trans temp and oil pressure along with roll bar mount cups

Received my Gates racing blue accessory belt today in the mail today, unfortunately they don't have a matching supercharger belt.

Also got in the K&N pre filter installed over the air filter and a new Auto Meter electric oil pressure gauge 2 1/16" dia. along with a roll bar cup mount. Now to get a trans temp and boost gauge with 2 more roll bar mounting cups.
Sent hood, spoiler and front bumper cover over to the body shop this morning and by noon they already prepped and had it in primer, should all be back by Tuesday and ready to bolt on.
Still working on the EVAP system, new charcole canister installed and vacuum switch, waiting on a purge valve to get in on Monday to button it all up, managed to get a functional and working PCV connection from the supercharger to the Norhtstar throttle body

Car is together body wise, bumper and hood installed, fresh from paint. Don't know if it will show up but the black painted portions have some gold flake to bring out the yellow.

Came in to the shop on Saturday with my race buddy to get some stuff buttoned up, was so excited to install the front bumper I forgot to install a styrafoam bumper guard on the right hand side that i had to cut down to keep from blocking the air flow to the radiator, so I managed to unbolt some stuff and get it positioned into place. Managed to get all the old fuel drained from the fuel tank and brand new Dunlop Direzza star spec Z2 tires.
Cleaned off all the front door grand prix se script and istalled the GTX badges I got. Went to install my new headlight assemblies but found one to have a damaged right side height adjuster fresh out of the box, talked to our parts guys and will get it warranty parts replaced this coming Tuesday. We next moved on to applying race decals on the vehicle, have some new Reflective Concepts decals to put on since they came in late on Saturday after we got back home.
Stuff left to finish, get our reprogrammed PCM this week, new supercharger belt, dump in some fresh fuel, finish EVAP and fuel pressure regulator vacuum line connected, lastly a full alignment. Pictures to come this Monday

Installed some of our Reflective Concepts decals on yesterday and today along with some race stickers and GTX badges.

Installed serpentine belts, blue is the Gates Racing belt but they don't make one for the supercharger so went with the Gates Fleet Runner green belt.
