Pics of Precision Industries Billet converter, ZZP poly engine and trans mounts, engine and trans together and set in the aluminum subframe, finally installed in vehicle.
Still plenty of work to go over the next week

For coolant and tranny temp does the car stay pretty cool?

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Coolant temp never gets above 185-195 under full race conditions, but trans temp has always been our achillies heel, we ran 215-240 on trans temps before. Hoping with the new radiator, and sealing off air gaps between the core support and radiator to force all the air through it will help lower out temps closer to engine coolant temps.

More pics!! Have you considered a GT or GTP bumper with dual exhaust ports? But then you would have to run a dual set up, rather than the one you have now...

We run the SE base model rear bumper....since we have a side exiting exhaust in front of the right rear tire there is no need for a dual cutout rear bumper, at that point it would be for looks only and we have kicked around the idea of making a rear diffuser so the SE bumper would work better for us. It acts like a huge parachute just catching air underneath. I do have a new front bumper cover coming, just not for this upcoming race in November, budget has been officially blown out the water this race LOL!!!

Here is more progress today, installed ARP wheel studs, and Booba here is our trans coolers and the oil & power steering cooler.

And we got a talking to at work about having cars written up to have them in the shop so got a ticket and figured the concern was appropriate.

Major set back today.....was filling up all the engine fluids today, trans and power steering fluid and coolant, after 2 gallons of coolant I noticed a small leak under the vehicle. Upon further inspection it seemed to be coming from between the engine and transmission, so figure it can be 3 things, leaking freeze plug, rear cover gasket, or a crack in the block. looks like the engine is coming back out again . On a more positive note got the other hub bearing studs swapped to ARP studs and installed, tomorrows agenda calls for swapping in the rear studs into the rear hubs and picking up new lug nuts.

Found the source of the coolant leak and it was self induced. I used a factory GM rear seal cover gasket from a L32 that is a aluminum frame with rubber inserts like the upgraded intake manifold gaskets are. Well there is a difference between it and the L67 that was just enough to not seal correctly. Long story short, pulled the engine/trans and had to seperate then to get the correct gasket in, installed it back in the car, filled up fluids and success....no more coolant leaks.
On a positive note, went to pick up the MPD F1 spoiler today for $150
