My Grand Prix cranks, but doesn't fire

Sorry to just join and ask a question, but there's nobody else who can guess what's wrong with my car :(

Was just driving down the road a few days ago when it just started sputtering and idling really rough at around 500RPM. I couldn't get it to go fast enough to get off the shoulder, then it just died and refused to start. Still nothing, I turn the key, it cranks, it's trying to start, but it just won't fire...

So far I've tried switching out all of the coils, the fuel filter and the ignition control module with no luck. I can't tell if there's fuel pressure now either, but there definitely was when I pressed on the Schrader Valve so I could replace the filter. We did actually notice that apart from one of the heads on the 2/5 coil that one of the wires is rusted and doesn't click in to place like the rest do.

Do any of you guys think that a faulty wire could ever cause my car to sputter out and die? Is there anything else (fuel pump?) that could make it do this? I'm not that great with cars, TBH I'm pretty much at my limit of what I think I can replace hahaha XD

Check and see if there is fuel pressure and see if there is spark and if it doesn't have one or the other it won't start. Pull a plug out and leave it in the boot and lay it against the exhaust manifold and see when your cranking if there is spark or not.

I'm thinking this is likely a bad maf. Unplug the maf and use some throttle to try and start the car. You'll need to keep it running for a min as it learns the fuel trims etc based on tables instead of sensor. If that works..it's the maf.

If that doesn't work. I'd check for spark and then aim for the crank sensor.

minen did the same thing, except mine knocked before it went out and i needed a whole new engine, not fun. good thing it happened right down the street from my house
