Hey this is my 2000 gtp coupe. The setup it had was

3.4 pulley
headers
Eibach Pro-kit
full exhaust
brake upgrade
custom tune
cone filter intake.

Bought it 4 years ago for 8k with 60K miles. Died today with 122,219 miles. Motor is gone and trans is gone. here are some pics from a few days ago and then tonight on the side of the highway...

it's gone now.. was on my way to sell if for 1k.. now it's worth nothing. :(
 


The motor is shot, the trans is shot... i might have a few parts, the springs, TOG downpipe, my original ubend delete.

I will also get some pics of the motor carnage. the oil is full of metal shavings..
 
no, i went to pass some dude going slow, i went to go from 65 to 80, and it stocking knocking like crazy, and went into reduced power, then shut off. i got it towed to my dudes house, we checked some stuff out, then went to fire it up, and it's a nasty top end knock.
 


yeah the trans dropped 4th a while ago... im going to be pulling the valve covers off tomorrow at some point, i will post some pics of the damage.
 


4th gear is overrated anyways...

Just put a stock pulley back on the blower and toss a short block back in it.

THEN, sell it.

Way more profit...breh.
 
I would almost bet you chipped a piston. I have 2 like that. As a matter of fact I think they both were the #3 piston.
 
yeah i've chipped one before also, this is a little more then that, im going to tear it down in the next few days...

what kinda price are you talking for the short block?
 


Well, it looks like either way ur good to go. Either fix it, or you can part it out and prob make more than a grand out of it. It'll take a bit of work tho. Also interested in springs if u go that route. Other guy has first dibs tho. :-(

oh easily making that $1000 depending on the headers, you got the torque stars and parts of the engine, a bunch of stuff on that car
