I can tell U are new to modding so I'm not going to state the obvious ,but newbies have a need to do a lot of research before posting or asking dumb questions,I hate to see people that just sit waiting for this kind of post to jump U so get the facts on whats cool and whats rice ,and besides the burns most of these people are right about modding U can't just drop on a 3.4 with an oil change and expect good results dosome research,but we need to ease up on newbies a bit if we want the membership to grow of course there are a few that are whipped at home and the work place and feel the need to be internet bullies,U have a nice car to start with pick some tastefull mods (appearance) and find a friend with a tuner and some mechanical knowledge to start U in the right direction .
 
I'm not a fan of the tail lights myself but like a few others have said, to each his own. I say do whatever you like. You dont have anyone to please but yourself. Please dont let alot of rude comments steer you away from here. There are ways to teach you about mods without being rude and there are plenty of people on here that would be glad to help you without attitude. They might think you are dumb, but they wont treat you like it. haha j/k
I kinda like the headlights
 
car isn't too bad if you are just starting out. I like the headlights,I'm on the fence with the tails... You mentioned about the HID's needing to be hooked up to the battery... The reason for that is the stock wiring for the headlights can melt in some cases due to the HID ballasts drawing a large amount of amperage when they are first turned on, There are kits out there that come plug and play... The really decent kits come with an extra relay harness that gets connected to the positive terminal on the battery and runs with your stock wiring harness. The relay is there to take the heat from amperage created from the ballasts when they first fire up and draws current from your battery. I've got 8000 K in my headlights... My kit also has the harness that attaches to the battery.
Just a question, did you disable your DRL's?

As for your car stereo its not a bad start but if you want to get into the car audio scene you can always upgrade. I personally steer away from sony electronics because I feel they aren't good like they were a few years ago. I usually stick with Alpine *I had a 7894 deck and a 9857* The only reason I don't have those anymore is because I sold them to pay bills a few years ago. I've also run pioneer and never had a bad time with those either. My current deck is a Kenwood and so far I've got no complaints.

The door isn't an infinite baffle, its a VERY leaky sealed enclosure.

I dont have any midbass coming from my dash.

If you care about midbass, you'd make an enclosure to fit in your doors so you dont rattle the crap out of your doors and cause unnecessary vibration.

skill testing question: what frequencies are defined as midbass? :p
 
hmmm i thought rule of thumb was.....

bass=0-100
mid bass=100-250
midrange= 250-2500
treble= over 2500
not sayin ur wrong, but i was close if ur right :D
 


midrange is more 250-5000, treble is everything from there up.

Bass ends at around 20 Hz, everything below that is sub-sonic... and thats the fun stuff when it comes to home theatre and games.

Hey man, thats a sick car. I hope mine will be even half of what that car is. Can you still use the steering wheel controls with the new radio? If so how and what did you use to do it?
 


not sure... my steering wheel controls werent important to me.. i think its just plug and play though.
