you guys are forgetting a key aspect that literally no one in the american car crowd really does: negative camber. given that it's set up right, you will not have horrible tire wear and it does actually make the cars stance a little nicer looking.
 
or stretch the damn tire. just a little bit.

225/45/17 on a 17x9.

Also take into account the tires are 225/45/17 Bridgestone Potenza RE070, which run wider then other normal 225/45/17, it's width is closer to 235 then 225.
