• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

My build, missing anything? Suggestions?

last 2 guys who did rebuilds, well it ran them 2500 to 3000 grand......i vote f the block rebuild. unless your willing to spend more on a engine then the cars worth. your call and wallet in the end.

This

Grab a good JY motor. Regasket it. Pretty it up and never touch the bottom end and install go fast parts and not worry about spending $2k in machine work for a potential 10 min motor

Looks to be a budget build like mine. VS cam, 90 springs, intake, headers, and the rest stock. Use a JY block. I also ordered a TEP trans. A few things I ended up spending additional on..... Valve spring retainers since stock retainers on the LS6 90 springs results in wrong installed height. Reuse stock keepers. I also rebuilt the supercharger snout, new idler and tensioner pulleys, new motor and trans mount, TTY head bolts, reusable rocker arm bolts, new stock timing chain and tensioner. These little things add up but help improve reliability and might as well replace it while you are in there.

I personally wouldn't rebuild a stock motor either. Poor return on investment. Run a junkyard lower block. I also wouldn't pay to port with such a mild cam unless you are doing it for free.

I'm good with trans work so i'm actually going to build mine up a little, you could call it a budget build or a reliable build i want power but not so much i **** things up
i actually already have the springs and correct retainers and the others things you mentioned, only thing i might add is the snout rebuild

I have a press so it was about $50 for the seal, bearings, fluid, and coupler. Got it apart might as well do it and not worry. Good walk-through on YouTube. Only issue I had was one of the Torx snout bolts stripped so I had to drill, easy out, and replace. Took an extra 15 min. Whoop de do.
