What kind of paint are u using? And any primer or what all preparations did u do?

Both really. I wanna paint my TB and a few other things.

I used VHT engine primer for the TB and blower. Then they got Pearl Black VHT engine paint. Fuel Rails got Metalicast base coat and Metalicast Red.

So I worked over the LIM today. Ported it, cleaned it and plugged up the EGR port.

that pitting must be from the gaskets, because 1/2 them ports see no coolant. and they all have pitting.

looks good, other then the pitting lol

thats one rather large tap wrench i must say.

Plus my guess is all that pitting is from teh coolant that was leaking all the Frick over

rememver scott, josh's lims were leaking more than an open faucet lol

mine were pretty bad too, the bolt by the egr, once the car warmed up, that bolt cried. always a tear trail from it. more then 1/2 my lim bolts were covered by a pool of oil and coolant.

I had two bolts I could not even see when I took my LIM out.. One was covered in sludgey crap and the other was submerged in coolant.

im sure you did, as you guys dont clean the engine first, then work on it, i cleaned mine a month before i did the lim job. it was wet in the bolt valleys, but clean. i just mopped up the puddles then took the bolts out.

That is a nice tap handle. Did you machine that yourself? Just asking cuz I work at a tool and die shop.

Kind of... I got a guy there who runs the mill for me when I need something milled..

The blower and Fuel Rails look tits.

Cant wait to see it all back together. Should look real nice.
