i see you are in canada. use the 15's as winter tires and rims.
save a decent amount of money, buy nice rims and then blow the rest on summer tires. BOOM.
 
Yeah. He needs snow tires.

Dont waste money on 15's. Just ride out the rubber THEN invest. Buying piddlyass rims is a waste

Around here used rubbers are a dime a dozen.

In all seriousness - When you say "set" is that just the tires or the tires mounted on rims? I'll bet you can get $225 out of rims and tires. They're already mounted and balanced for gee wizzers. Just that is probably worth close to $70.

steel rims are worth(less)
and ur probly right on selling mounted.

I can get Core Racing (Seven) Rims with Federal 215/45 R17 - for $300
