New to this site. Trying to get acquainted with it all. Thought I would post some pics of my car. Its still in Progress but this is some before and after. I bought it a month and a half ago so I think it looks pretty good.

This is when I bought it Feb 2, Completely stock and wreck on the back drivers side.

Painted the front grills Black with outter lip Red. Also VHT tinted my Head lights and Fog lights.. Just a FYI. I would not suggest VHT the headlights. It looks good but I cant see **** at night. They will work untill I get the Retros

Put some 20' Gianna Blitz rims with some 245/35/20 Lows on it. Yes I rub when I hit bumps but other than that drives smooth.

So far this is what is done to. Will post better pics of it tomorrow. This is the only ones that I have, I also painted all the calipers.

In the trunk I got 2 12" Kickers in a ported box with a 1500 wt Audio Pipe Class D mono Amp. It pounds. Wish I could hush the trunk rattle up..

Any suggestions on my car are welcome. I ordered the bumber inlays. They should be here soon. But other than them and the retros I havent planned on doing anything else to it unless I get some good suggestions. In the future I hope to get the inferno hood.

car looks good, I dont see how you can be rubbing with that wheel gap??
You need to get some 2000 grit wet sand paper and polish on the tails, that should shine em up...super easy to do and lots of links on how to do it out there.

Re: My 2004 Black Grand Prix GT2

I will forsure try that with the tails.. I rub bad anytime I go over a bump or somthing. If its a smooth road im good to go.

Re: My 2004 Black Grand Prix GT2

Yeah I had 20s on my monte before n if the offset is too small or big theyll hit the fenders. Or they can be rubbing on the wheel well but your struts would prob have to be pretty bad for that to happen. Although with the audio stuff in the trunk or people in the back can cause that too. I have 40 offset with a 19x8 wheel and 2 12" audiopipes with amp and battery n no rubbing tho.

car looks good, not a fan of the rims tho, and def needs moar low, also u need a debage.. as do i haha

Re: My 2004 Black Grand Prix GT2

Like the car, Much better pics... I like the wheels, would look good lower, but if you are already rubbing I don't know what to tell you. Rolling fenders maybe?
Put shine up the tails and get new headlights(under $100) on your to-do list!!

Re: My 2004 Black Grand Prix GT2

Thanks Spazz. I actually came to a conclusion tonight. I noticed that only one side was rubbing. When I got out to check it out, i noticed that the fender was bent down from where it was hit (I havent had it replaced yet, just cleaned it up) So we bent it back up. So I will see if that helps, I think that was the problem bc like I said the other side is rubbing. I will for sure do the tails.. Probally this weekend, About the head lights, Im saving up for the retros so i dont want to really put money into a different stock pair.

Looks good!

Tinting the headlights is illegal in most states because it makes it hard to see. You should give the tails and heads a quick wet sand, put some clear coat on them, wet sand again and then polish them up so they match the cars paint.

im going to work on the tails and head lights tonight since im off tomorrow. and No i dont get any **** from the cops here. at lease not yet. Ill let you know if i do. LOL

Take em in the house and take your time..I used 2000 grit and a couple drops of dawn in warm water..not to much pressure, keep it wet and keep wiping off the passes, then sand some more until you think its smooth. You can always try a polish pass and if it isnt shiny enough, sand some more
