My '05 V - Summer mode engaged

Re: My '05 V - Headers in. More parts exist. Its slow

Thursday, shoveled driveway, dad calls...his blower won't start. Drove to get salt so the old people who were coming to my house don't die.
Friday, work
Saturday, drove to dad's house, blower sparks, but no gas. Went home, got the truck, took blower to my house
Sunday, he put too much stabil in, clogged carburetor, carburetor cracked because someone locktited bolt for the bowl.

Re: My '05 V - Headers in. More parts exist. Its slow

I would either grab those since they're cheap. Or vht n clear your ones you have now.

The fog and lower square housing yu can barely tell there's orange in there. But the new crisp, clear ones nick posted do look good. I'm sure those are a little more tho.

Re: My '05 V - Headers in. More parts exist. Its slow

those are a stock housing with the lens popped off and a clear lexan sheet epoxied in it's place. i could probably get that done on my own.

but if i'm going to go through that much work i might as well do some kind of fun retrofit. those new LED pods they've been coming out with are pretty badass.

Haha gotcha.

The led fog pods from trs are sick. Of course they only make them for other models n not ours though.

Re: My '05 V - Headers in. More parts exist. Its slow

i actually just pinged a guy that i was going to sell my spare headlights to.

he had plans to do some kind of retrofit to a set of foglights and clean them up to be perty and more functional. i told him i would trade him the set of headlights that i was going to sell to him (at a fabulous price) anyway and my stock fogs for a complete set of modified lights. win? we will see.

Re: My '05 V - Headers in. More parts exist. Its slow

Seems like a fair trade off. Was he putting projectors in the fogs or ever do his set for pics?

Re: My '05 V - Headers in. More parts exist. Its slow

said he was going to leave the DRL alone (the upper portion) and do a matchbox projector for the fog. then a clear lexan lens instead of the diffused lens like stock.

i tossed around the idea of using an LED pod for the fog instead. we're exploring right now.

Re: My '05 V - Headers in. More parts exist. Its slow

**** it...gonna save money towards other projects i want to get into instead of modding this car...

gonna still drop the car on coilovers and get some mean stance, but i'm gonna stick with the 6 lug bolt pattern and go for a race stance with some 18x9 team dynamics wheels...

obviously going to be like 3" lower...

Re: My '05 V - Headers in. More parts exist. Its slow

or i could always go with the vogue cv7. they're 20x8.5 so i'd still be boss status. i'd have to powder coat them something else though....chrome doesn't belong on my car.

Re: My '05 V - Headers in. More parts exist. Its slow

if i buy the team dynamics wheels i can rotate tires and still run a normal sized tire. same with the vogue...but let's get real, they're ugly.

the other semi random choice is linea corse veneto (19x8.5/10 +40/47mm) in hyper black. that also means i'll be running stupid 19s with stupid 19" tires.

ugh...5 lug swap opens up so many options, but it's just wasting money when i want to get into an old truck for a project...
