I was on my way home from mowing my grandmothers lawn and i noticed a white mustang gt (maybe a 2001 or 2002?) pulling out of a gas station. So i turned behind him waiting to get next to him. A light turns red and i have room to get over next to him at the light. I was checking it out and it had me a little nervous. It was white with black rims and it def. had an exhaust on it because it sounded mean. I look over at him and he kinda just gives me a dirty look. The light turns green and he takes off and squeelz the tires. As soon as i heard him take off i punched it as well. I pulled on him about half a car length to a car length. I stoped pulling at about 85mph. We ended up braking and hitting another readlight. He looks over at me and quotes "Holy **** i did not expect that." :th_laugh-lol3: He asks me what i have done and i told him. He says very nice and drives away. Another mustang under estimates the 4 door grocery getter.

What do you all got under the hood?
 
Nice kill. The 4.6 GT's arent much to run against unless they have some decent mods. The new 5.0 is a monster though. I cant wait to run one of those

I have a 3.4 set up. All supporting mods exhaust, pcm, intake, thermostat, ubend delete and cat converter removed.

correction, if its a 4.6 2valve then yes, the 3 and 4 valves are different stories. i had a 04 bolt on gt vert with 4:10s pretty quick..about as quick as my wifes gp gxp 5.3 ls4.

that's cool and all, but when you see hundreds of dumb people that think their stock v6 mustang is the coolest car on the road, the few actual fast ones just seem irrelevant to me.

...and i can say this because my first car was a v6 mustang, and i HATED every minute of driving that car. btw, it wasn't my choice, my dad bought it for me in HS, and it spent more time sitting in the driveway broken down than it did running...

Depending on your definition of fast, probably more. Majority of Rustang owners own either a 90s stang which were almost ALL slow stock, or a newer but still V6. Most "modded" ones are body kits rims and ugly paint. :P
 
the NEW v6(3.7L) mustang has 300 horse, so they would eat most of us up. or at least keep right up.
4.0l V6 stang (2005-2010) would romp a grandprix gt, which isnt saying much but still.
3.8l v6 stang(2004-90's)....well that engine is crap lol.

Low 13's and high 12's aren't retardedly fast...11's are the new 13's.

13's were cool back in 2001.

Also...I've had a run in with a couple 5.0's...driver mod or not...they didn't want any after a car+ from a 50/60 roll.

Give me a new Boss 302...or a Laguna Seca model.
