• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

So, drove to work this morning, car ran perfect. Came out after work, started the car, instantly started chugging with black smoke coming out the exhaust, went downhill from there.Had to have the car towed home. Any ideas

Heck I'm having the same prob it chugs won't idle I have to keep my foot in the peddle just enough to keep it about 1000rpm it's a 2000 grandprix gt, I've unplugged the maf and others one at a time then all at a time and it makes a but of a different without the maf but still continues to act like it running rich as heck. I really think it is a sensor somewhere but just got hit HARD financially and cannot throw parts at it. I've cleaned the intake and maf with maf cleaner and it helps but it always comes back. I just baby it till I get home then if I have to leave again it runs great for a couple days. I'm frustrated but refuse to get rid of it. I LOVE my grand prix

Oh and no relivent codes either. And I've plugged the scanner in dozens of times over the year. Just says left bank to rich or lean or right bank ect. Irritation follows and persistence ensues

One suggestion I got was a stuck open injector. Unplug one injector at a time, start it. If it runs worse, injector ok. If it runs the same or a little better, injector not ok. At least that's the advice given to me.
