i have a couple coils id sell ya...as does prob everyone else on here
umm you can get the tray through zzp, wbody store and 3800 performance. or make your own out of sheet metal or your imagination haha but no just zip tieing it wont make it prone to a alot of heat. mines just fine lol now between the airbox and the tb, do you mean the sensor on the tube?
Screw ZZP or 3800 Performance for PCM tray's...just go yank one out of a '96+ S10 or Blazer from a junkyard...your welcome![]()
I see alot of people with these even though they are bashing them?:th_lightbulb:
Robby, you can put the air filter right on the TB, just zip tie the sensor near the cone.(its you Air Intake Temp. sensor, or IAT)
And to the friend who is saying the MSD's are better.
In theory, only works in theory.
In theory, my car makes 1000HP, but in reality, it doesn't.
I've been through plenty of MSD coils now, and there is no difference, positive or negative, in performance. The only diffrerence is, the MSD coils have broken, split, and failed, whereas the stock coils havent.
The other thing to consider, look at the highest HP grand prixs around, they are still running stock coils.
Im not trying to call anyone out, or start ****, but from my experience, the MSD totally suck. They are good eye candy, but that's about it.
MSD coils on these cars are NOTHING without the DIS box.
Proven.
Take your MSD crap to another platform where the factory ignition ISN'T better than aftermarket.
proven by????? specs???????
40k and im running just fine with them. actually i think they run better with them in there. ill see the dyno results this summer so it all really doesnt matter. Like i said if your blowing coil packs something elses gotta be wrong........
