mp112 on a gtp

this might be kind of stupid... but i think i heard this somewhere. is it possible to rig up an mp112 blower from an 03 cobra on an L67? not that im really considering this or anything, im just curious in case i want to do something unique for future reference. i saw on wbs that they have a Whipple kit for gtp's so i wanted to see if other superchargers are possible on our cars.

There are a few cars out there with mp112's. You would use the m90 s/c case and have to fab a plate to extend the case to fit the rotor and snout from the m112. For the time/money for this, I see it outweighing the benefits, especially since there are many cheaper options out there.

genV is probably cheaper and more effective. if you want a unique setup it is cool, but only a few people have made any type of good power out of an mp112.

thats sloth lol. The guy in the pic is the toxic avenger (funniest movie ever!)

eh... its okay... I know the Director has a cult following.. i saw his newer film "Poultrygeist" and it was quite funny. The last 15-20 mins of the movie was great. Also the main girl character was pretty hot and you see a lot of her.... if you know what I mean haha

yea... you know what would be really sick. a kenne belle on one of these things. holy s*** i would love that

it wouldn't have the same effect... the whipple, kenne bells, etc. were made for bigger engines. The Whipple does get more horsepower + torque out of our cars, however it's not too much better than a Gen V M90. Our cars just don't take to them as well.

I have a complete MP112 setup. There's a bunch of wrong info in here but im not flaming just correcting common misconceptions of the MP112.

The MP112 is made by Magnuson and is not an OEM blower from any car. You cannot use the M112 from a Mustang at all other than the rotors to make the M112 Hybrid blower with the adapter plates.

MP112s are more trouble than they are worth unless you can find someone selling an entire engine with them because they require a lot of custom parts and a BIG build to flow the air.

I did it to be unique, not to break and records.

yeah, i wasnt really seriously considering it i was really just curious about it if it could be a project. i really just wanna find a cheap gen V and rebuild, then port n polish it, and do the LIM. only if i can find one randomly for a good deal though

I have an MP112 Hybrid on my car, I know that these build about 25% more boost than a ported gen III and can out perform a Gen V. I can put some track times and dyno info later next month when I get it back on the road.
