• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Morimoto hid upgrade...

First one was crappy...cutoff wasn't straight..beginners error. Second one used my oem headlights worked out well but headlights were very pitted and couldn't get the lenses clear to we're I was happy. Third worked fine..meet a local that wanted them so I sold them lol. Forth..sold those. Fifth = TBA in the planning stages lol.

For the demon eyes you mount the Smds right on the front of the solenoid and I used hot glue and it worked out fine. Lmk if you need a picture or something and ill go grab a solenoid and show you what I mean.

Sanding the lens is no biggie and then take a high speed buffer with rubbing compound. BAM clean. Did you find that the OEM lights seal better?

What you guys think about the Xb halos as well? I think the demon eye and the halo would look pretty cool, my other idea was to scratch the halo, not paint the reflector where the projector was going, and put green LEDs in there so that the reflectors green and the eye is red, dunno if that sounds corny or over the top lol

Oh I have a buffer trust me I got them as good as they were going to get lol. Personally oem are a b***8 to get open and seal I rather use aftermarket because they come apart with relative ease and its earlier to clean the permaseal that seals them in my experience.

Anybody wanna guess what OEM projector Adaptive headlights cost on a Saab? Used: $500 a piece/New:$650 - minus the ballast/controller which is another $265/per light. Ask me how I know, I may be replacing the Driver's light next week, have to take it to a Saab Dealer to find out if it can be reset and saved.

I always got one light to seal perfectly and the other would get condensation. This last set, I have no idea, car hasn't seen rain in almost 2 years LOL.

I still hear people have sealing problems, Aj I guess got his to seal, I have no idea, he doesn't really say much. I could never figure out where it gets in, its really really strange. I've done the fresh rubber butyl trick with silicon sealant all around the edge, hot glueing the rubber gasket down.

Did you keep the headlight nipples attached..weird I only had a issue with one light not sealing the rest weren't a problem.

I would use The Retrofit source LED rings...why? I used the Glass rings and I broke 2, my rings are damn close to the headlight lens.

Demon eyes are cool, but my leds got fried by the heat after a while.

Keep It Simple and the less you will have to crack the lights open to fix things.

Headlight nipples? You mean the breathers? Yeah I did. I've had about 3 leak on me.

Leave it to the Swedish to have expensive headlights.

HA! Thats nothing, newer cars are geting worse and worse. If regulations get their way all cars will end up with this adaptive headlight technology and we will all be paying for it.

Our $80 pair of headlights ain't so bad LOL.

Yeah I'm definitely going with the retrofit source rings, I was watching a YouTube video about them, and you think the halls over the demon eye? I've always wanted a bright set of halos, the spider auto ones I had for my 01 were pieces of ****, so halos are a must now. Guess ill scratch the demon eyes!

Just gotta figure out what wore to use for the drls in place if my stock high bed and I'll be set! Man Christmas needs to get here quicker, I even told my gf we can do all the boring holiday stuff she likes to do and I won't complain, but even offering that I can't get em early :-/

Lol well I'm going to do switchbacks in my turns and the white led 9005 bulbs in the high beams, I just like the look of the drls, I mean I love the LEDs that the audis have but I'm not trying to imitate them, I'd rather do my own thing! Not that I'm too much diff than everyone else lol

And as far as moisture, I have a few ideas of that as well. I'm an ac mechanic by trade and removing moisture from systems is my specialty, after the headlight is sealed I'm going to actually pull a vacuum on the headlight to remove any moisture

Just so you know. DRL and Turn signal are the same wire. Unless you do a custom control setup, your DRL in high beam will be your turn signal.
