Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

More Sounds...

I've been hearing these noises for a while now, only happens while idling. Either that, or I just can't hear it upon acceleration.

Is that more apparent noise the injectors or what? How many bottles of injector cleaner do I have to use in order to get rid of that sound? Could they possibly be THAT clogged or gunked up? Not 100% sure if it's injectors but if it is then wtf.

Then there's this other less obvious noise, which I hope some of you can make it out, because that's the noise that's been bothering me. I am afraid that one of these noises could be knock.

If it is, there's no way to prevent it right? It'll just get worse on its own before it dies or what? This car has been really stressing me out ever since the engine went out back in August. I just want to be able to get places without having to worry about **** falling apart. I am at the point where I just want to grab a sledge hammer, and just swing at the car :l

take the belt off the sc and see if you have play in the pulley, when you snap it back and forth.

does it go away when you give it some steady gas?

I've had the coupler go bad on the other car, and it doesn't sound similar to the noise its making. It could be though. Would the mechanic be able to check for it? I really wouldn't be able to do it myself, at least I wont be able to anytime from now till May.

There's two different noises going on, or more. Is the coupler related to the more apparent noise or the less obvious noise?

The noise sounds like your fuel injectors it's pretty normal. Dump a can of seafoam in the tank and see if it gets better if not a few tanks down the road throw some lucas fuel cleaner in. I've had good results with both products. The other sound kinda sounds like a coupler or maybe a loose rocker?

Assuming it is a loose rocker, can that be fixed, and is it a cheap fix?

I've been running injector cleaner almost every tank now, and the latest injector cleaner used was Seafoam this time, still nothing.

injectors are usually pretty noisy. It's not very likely it is a loose rocker unless you or your mechanic have been into the valve covers for some reason or another but they are easy to tighten.

It was a used engine, so I don't know what's been done to it honestly. I know that gaskets were changed, but not sure which ones either...

But none of you think that any of those noises could possibly be knocking?

Oil seems to be fine, I'll make sure to check again tomorrow.

I was getting a SES light for a bank 1 too lean or something, changed O2 sensor didn't do much. I was thinking of changing Fuel Filter, wires, and plugs, but I am not sure if that has anything to do with the noise its making.

The lean code could be a vacuum leak. Don't be beating on it when it's lean it's really bad on it. Listen for any hissing noises around the engine bay and look at all the vacuum lines.

...That COULD explain the lack of power I get sometimes...Should be more careful then :l

That could solve one problem hopefully. I'll try to get that checked asap.

You should research lean bank one.. just saying.... I own that code.

On the injectors, hell..that loud and they might be causing it. Got a set off the other motor?
On the other noise..the motor runs well?
