can i get a dhp pcm without raised shift points? i plan on putting rockers in but i dont know the ratio... and i hear as long as i dont go past 6k ill be fine without springs.

DHP's shift at 6K...it is ZZP/Intense that raised theirs to 6200 or something IIRC.

By the way...it would be very smart to know what parts your putting on your car before you go through with it...because if they are 1.9's then you are going to need upgraded valve springs/retainers or your going to get valve float. 1.84's are the highest you can go on stock springs...and keep it mind it still won't totally save you...I was shifting at 6200 and I wouldn't be one bit surprised it floated a bit in the top of 1st and 2nd.

i ran 1.9s on stock springs FOREVER. you dont need springs for 1.9s. rollers? yes. reworked stockers? no.

they are rollers so i guess ill be ordering new springs and retainers then. any suggestions on which ones to get?

oh and since winter is right around the corner should i hold off on the 180 t stat?

A 180* is fine...hell I ran a 160* in the winter and by the time the car got into its closed loop I had heat...just get the 180* put in...it is more vital to have a cleaned/flushed coolant system before winter than a colder T-Stat IMO.

I used L76 valve springs, your going to need Lsx style retainers to go with them. IIRC i run y/t 1.9 rollers.

#90's...LS6 Springs/LS6 Retainers...the yellow ones...ran them with my XP shifting at 6500 just to test them out...work just fine :p

I refuse to install rockers for customers w/o changing springs. The insurance factor of the spring is cheap. When changing springs you should get modded/LS retainers.

Bio's mention of the comp cam springs breaking is in relation to their newer production, they moved it to Mexico and many folks have had breakage issues.
