i just ordered a canned tune pcm and installed it and now im seeing more kr than the stock tune. 98 gtp 104's 3dp open cone 180tstat 93oct 3.4mps. i thought the tune would help the kr issue. i went from 2.3kr to 4.5kr ported front mani if that helps to but ive heard it doesnt
 


You might not have enough flow to run the 3.4, try a 3.5 or get a plog or headers would be the next things I would try.
 
but why would my kr increase after the tune thats the question. im gonng go back to the stock pulley for now until i get headers and 1.9rr. i had the 3.4 on there before the tune and was getting 2.3kr thought the tune would get rid of some of that and it increased it
 
has the weather changed drastically?

usually box tunes include a timing increase and minor fueling changes, which a lot of times don't result in ideal conditions for everyone.
 
I still had 3* of KR after a canned tune, and that was with a 3.4,headers and 1.9rr. Canned tunes dont always cut it.lol.
 


I wouldnt of dropped that low with your mods even with a real tune. If i were you ide throw on the stock pully till after winter than get some headers come summer and a real tune.
 
Yea pulley up and get a real tune and some more supporting mods. Remember the lower the pulley the more vulnerable the knock is to the motor.
 
anyone got a 3.8mps? lol. i replaced the snout with one that had a hub on it so my stock pulley is in ohio in my buddies garage.
