Recall was done as well!

so far so good! those were all replaced for my $100 deductible because i took it to a pontiac dealer than a toyota one that i bought it from!

That's an amazing price for an 08', clear title?

Re: milage and price

I bought my '01 in 2005 with under 50k I believe. In immaculate condition. They wanted like $12.5k for it, I walked away for a little under $9k. I'll have it paid off next month, almost 7 months early.

I'd have to check the print out that I had on the book value but I want to say, that at that time I got it for right at or just a couple hundred over the NADA book value.

Re: milage and price

i bought mine in may or april (i forget) 2007 just over 110 on the clock clean title no really major promblems at the time! except not enough power!!! (takin car of that) all for 6 grand thats everything. but i had to replace a lot after a few months. typical used car i guess but with out it i would have never started on my journey to learn about it!

Re: milage and price

Wow, its been awhile for me!

I bought my 1999 GTP in August of 2002, it had 55,000 miles on it. I got it for 13k or 14k, IIRC it was more like $14,300 or something, i'd have to look it up. It took me 6 months to find this car. I had a goal, buy and pay cash for one of my dream cars, and get it EXACTLY my way and not settle. It had to be Artic White, 2-door, Sunroof, Leather, Bose, GTP, and most inportantly bone stock (of course, not many modded GPs were around back then).

Today my car has 160,000+ miles on it and as for problems I haven't had anything major at all! Just usual replacement parts. My long block is original, my original tranny is in good working order and sitting in my shed with about 150,000 miles on it (I decided to put in a race tranny + higher stall). Its the best car i've ever owned, used to race it ALOT years ago in my younger and dumber days, its never failed on my. Only notable failures i've had (which have been few) have been with aftermarket parts! LOL!

I'll mention my GTP still has the original CV joints (boots and all!), 3 of the 4 hubs, starter, water pump, master cly, heater core, rack, ac system, etc! All works good and the car is mechanically sound. I'm never afraid of making a 500 mile road trip in this car.

My 2000 GTP has been just as realiable, IIRC we got it summer of 2005 with 99,000 miles on it, paid $7,500 cash private party. Today it has 142,000 miles on it....

Re: milage and price

My 03 was purchased new in March 2003 for $35000+tax with 3 miles on the odo. It currently has 49 700 miles, or 80 000kms as we say in Canada.
I finally paid it off last year.

lol no meaning to rag on GPs or anything, but looking at the pole here, and the one on the Acura Legend over at A-L.com, the Legend's pole majority is 200-250k with many well over 300k. one member is about 430k...

but then at the same time, the Legend was around a solid 10 years, and discontinued (renamed RL in 96) 2 years before most of these cars where even built

people use cars for different things lol.... some people like to keep miles down, while others drive everywhere.....

I love road trips!

plus you have to factor in if the car is well maintained..... if not.. things will fall apart. much like my 2000...
