Miata's: Do you hate them or like them? (A opinion thread)

Im quite the curious kid... I curios about what your guys opinions are towards mazda miata's! I personally like them and think they are fun and cool little things. Obviously lack power and would be a HUGE step down in power from my 3'4 pulleyed GTP... But it i think i would get used to it.

Anyways...State Opinions below!
 


I like them.

To me its not meant to be a cool car. Its a small light car with enough power to have fun with.

I want to get one soon so I can get into some autocross stuff here. A good lowering kit with some nice tires and it would be some good times.
 
Here is my buddies miata.....just a lil supercharger and fully built suspension, and damn i was impressed actually




 
Mixed feelings. Seem kind of girly to me, but I'm sure they're fun things to whip around and I like how they only have 2 seats. A little sporty, low in power but very light, and I'm sure they handle great. Just not what I'd prefer.

OMG. Im shocked... I thought i was going to be the only one on here that wants one lol. I agree with you. I have been in one or two and they are just an absolute fun machine even if its just small corners! But i say still needs more power... Its one of those things that would come around way in the future!

ITS AWESOME! Love that its supercharged! Its just the thing it needs... In my opinion lack of power is there only downfall. Tell your buddy that its awesome and respected!

My GP has been breaking so much lately... that i can look past the whole girly thing. I really want to get into something rwd and reliable plus good on gas! The GP was fun while it lasted but its time to grow up from being a little kid wanting to go fast.

I'm sorry but any convertible that is not a muscle car or old classic car is gay. Small convertible cars like this should include either a box of Tampax or anal lube, just like a Chevy Cavalier or Dodge Neon or the old New Beetle.
 


ive done alot of work on my buddies miata, hes got the 1.8 head and intake on the older 1.6 block, 18° of timing with 91 octane. Real simple but damn its fun in a 5 speed. If you do go looking for one i think its the 90, 91, and early 92's that suffer from the short nose crank problem. something like that.
 
I think the Miata is for sure a chicks car but undoubtedly would be fun to "go kart" around in. I could only drive one with the top up & dark tints unless it was LS swapped or a monster 5.0
 
Wheres the poll? I like them. My dad used to have one. Really fun cars, they turn on a dime. I actually think if I had to have a convertable I would want it to be a little light car like a miata or a s2000 type thing. I think convertable muscle cars just look stupid.
 


I rather enjoy the cars. The NC's have enough power and torque all across the board to have fun and even get your car taken away. So really it's the right combination.

You can get them with bilsteins, and a torsen diff from the factory too.

You actually join a secret cult when you drive one.

Everyone who drives one, waves as you pass.

I guess its like the thumbs up you get when driving a muscle car.

But convertible muscle cars? You just ruined it. It's cheap flex happy chassis is just going to flex even more now. I'm not even a fan of T-top cars because of that and them being more prone to rust due to the fact that they all leak.

Tried sitting in one at the Detroit car show once.

Can't fit, my knees are pressed up against the dash.

So, hate.

I do wonder if that may have changed since I've lost 50 lbs since then?

this may be true to the onlooking male population. however girls like convertibles. my buddy has a stanced miata and he's always had smoking hot gf's
