me vs modded beetle WTF?

a beetle was the first manual car i've ever driven. the shifting took away from the gayness, right up until i stalled it. i wanted to put a bag over my head.

yeah. they can be fast. with just a tune, intake and turbo back exhaust they gain like 55hp and 70lb ft. bigger intercooler and turbo....real fast. plus those 5spd trannys are pretty quick shifting, esp with a stg 2 or better clutch.

thats the same thing as K&N claming 20hp gains from an intake lol can never believe a vendor....you can however believe people who have first hand modding and tuning 3800s :th_thumbsup-wink:

they claim every pulley size is 5hp, or a 1lb of boost is equivalent to 5hp....but these vendors forget about kr which also pulls timing and thats lost power for sure, they also do not account for the fact that when you run headers you lose some back pressure which means you flow more, a 3.4'd car with manifolds WILL make more boost than a 3.4'd car with headers but the the manifold car will knock like a woodpecker and make less power. vendors also like to say headers can add "up to 18hp" to your car, yeah maybe if your running a 3.0 pulley with an IC and stock manifolds lol

Headers added 19 horse to the tire to a bone stock SSEi with a Fenderwell intake. So, they really do. Not hyped.

not trying to argue or anything, but if it put 19 to the tires with just headers on a SSEi how can a full 3.4 setup with tune only put 20 to the wheels to a GTP?

The repackaging deal is what turned me off on them. Either make it yourself or put the manufacture's info in the items description. Wonder if they would list their part suppliers?
