Mad Monkey's GP - Fresh and Clean

Re: Mad Monkey's GP - Bought it some new goodies...

yeah scotty, i wish i could dry em faster lol i might stick it over a heating vent or something LOL

Re: Mad Monkey's GP - Bought it some new goodies...

A friend took his seats to his 02 Maro to a car wash and soap and rinse sprayed them clean and then used a shop vac to suck out the water and let them dry a couple days. You may not want to try this, just throwing it out there. It worked well for him. Had the foam off like you do, kept a good distance between the spray and the foam so it didn't tear it up and the seats looked brand new by the end of the week when we put them back in.

His didn't have heat warmer, so keep that in mind, wetness hurts electronics.

Re: Mad Monkey's GP - Bought it some new goodies...

I'ld mist the foam with some bleach to kill the mildew/mold and stick them next to a de-humidifier

Re: Mad Monkey's GP - Bought it some new goodies...

yeah, water and the electrics dont mix, but you can take and soak an appliance and provided you FULLY 100% dry it, fire it back up.. now if the appliance has power while wet, your screwed lol

these are drying up decently, ive been sitting on some towels to pull it out.

then im going to fabreeze them, and steam them, steam helps puff back up the foam, and also kills bacteria ;)

Re: Mad Monkey's GP - Bought it some new goodies...

monkey.. i thought you were going to buy my GXP seats!!!??!? WTF

so how do you fix that rip in that one seat? i found a little rip in my back seat and was going to ask on here what people have done to repair it before it gets worse.

Re: Mad Monkey's GP - Bought it some new goodies...

im not repairing it, its the size of a finger tip. conditioning has plumped it up a little so not as bad.
