How is it better? I just want to personally know.

If you have any ideas on how I can address the BBV issue that'd be great. It looks like I need to get creative here...
With all the great minds on here someone has to have an idea of what can be done.

Make a plate to raise the whole supercharger to the level of the BBV? That way everything is on an even plane.... or is this just too simple? :confused:

This is too simple because the BBV meets the manifold on a different plane than the bottom of the blower.

I can get a blower fairly cheap... the Whipple's are a lot of $$$.
If I can figure out a way to deal with the BBV issue I can have this thing bolted down and ready to go very shortly after.

If thats the case get a custom aluminum intake made and find someone selling a Paxton Novi blower.... more creative and more ubherer effective :th_laugh-lol2:
 


You guys are being ridiculous... If you don't have any ideas on how to address the BBV issue please don't crap on my thread.
 
How about you weld a collar the same diameter of the BBV opening to the bottom of the blower? Make it the necessary length and give it a flange so it can mate to a flat gasket like the M90 uses, or make a groove in it to use an o-ring.

This would need to be very precise...
Maybe welding something to the LIM? What type of metal is the LIM made of?

if we knew what you were doing maybe we'd have a better idea of how to help you.

I've been pretty clear as to what I'm trying to do. I want to make an M62 from a Cobalt SS fit my engine. There is no grey area on this one.
 


Both the LIM and the blowers are made of some sort of aluminum alloy. Welding to either won't be easy, but I figure if you weld to the blower, you can swap back to an M90 if you want to without having to change out your LIM.

I wouldn't want to risk distorting or damaging the blower... I can always pick up another LIM for next to nothing.

I've asked like 15 times now for people to overlook this.

Good point! For economics sake, you can always JB weld it just to try out your concept. If all goes well, take it off and have it welded for real!

Seems like a crap shoot though.

^^^ was what I was just about to suggest. But you need to get some measurements to see if it will even work... shows to be close but close is sometimes just far enough off to not work.

Measure multiple times to make sure the areas will match up before slicing and dicing.

I would suggest mocking up a aluminum plate to apply the cobalt bbv piece that way you can always unbolt everything and remove the plate. Think of it like an adapter/spacer with a gasket on top and on bottom so you can work and modify without harming either Supercharger, or LIM
