Low coolant light came on, coolant level was okay, replaced sensor, unhooked battery to clear, coolant light went out, now it comes on when not touching the throttle, when accelerating it goes out. Now it stays on again continuously. Coolant level is okay, system has been bled.

Any thoughts?

The sensor can go bad or even just get dirty and cause issues like you are seeing. Yes, unplugging it will make it go out. But you also try to remove and clean the sensor and the hole it goes into.

You can also replace it with a new one from the parts store. They usually run around $25-30.

try checking the wires off the plug for cracks or missing insulation, there also could be somewhere that's rubbed through the wires too.

i have the same problem with my 99 gtp S/C. I replaced the sensor and the light is still on. My issue is i can't stand lights on my dash. When they come on i need to replace the problem. Drives me nuts.
