Looking for suggestions.
My 2002 Pontiac Grand Prix needs a new look
I want to put new wheels and tires on . I want to go to a 18" wheels I don't want to put lowering springs on due to the roads and speed bumps but what I want is the lowered look
and a wide foot print 45 series tires I do a lot of traveling due to my work id like a good performance tire I'm not worried about snow I'm in the south most of the time any suggestions
as to the size of tire and what the speedo will change would be greatly be appreciated. I look forward to your inputs.

245/45/18 is the tire size you need to run. That will keep the speedo the same.

Depending on wheel choice and the offset you run will determine how it looks. Lowering it will make it look better.

I don't get why people are afraid to do it, you won't be slamming this car to the ground. A drop on 1-1.5in overall is all it needs and you really give up no ground clearance.

I live in Minnesota with likely far far worse roads than down south and winter/snow to deal with. I ran my car lowered all year around and never bottomed out or hit my bumper on speed bumps.
 
honestly, rough roads or not, lowering it an inch or two like FFDP says won't really make it unbearable to drive. in fact, you might like it more because you'll be a little more in tune with the road instead of being so floaty and disconnected. i hate driving cars with stock suspension.

The only "hate" I have with being lowered, is you have to go slow when the front goes over speed bumps as the rebound can make you hammer down on said speed bump if you are going to fast. And, the nose on these cars is so long, so you can't get to close to the curbs. Two minor "hates" that I gladly tolerate for the added performance and looks.
 
Thanks five finger could you suggest a offset to get that deep look without any rubbing and nothing to affect my turn radius.
