lightweight rotor pack...



I agree with Bio, very interesting. Would like to try a set. But still $664 after converting to USD. Plus shipping.....that's way to expensive IMO. lol
 
yay, .5whp gains.

Shipping alone would cost 200x more than this mod is worth. Willing to bet if you fire up a dremel and a drill motor on a stock rotor pack you can start removing weight easier than having someone 4500 miles away do it for you.
 
i was thinking it might be stock rotors with some cores taken out of each lobe, but i could be wrong.
 


All they are doing is modifying a stock set of rotors.... Its not any specific science, any machine shop in town could work with you on balancing them after the fact.

Would be fun to try, but I doubt its worth the effort... even doing it yourself you would struggle to do it for less than $150.... a set of ported heads would make way more gains...

Just because someone doesn't agree with you...doesn't give you the right to sit there and report every single post...and it isn't just me.

To add,

I'd NEVER drill into a rotor pack for a supercharger...I'd love how it "might work" but what about longevity issues? Structural soundness...I for one would leave it alone. The trouble you have to go through to get it to work...it's a waste. HP per $...bottle feed it and slap a set of headers on it and go three times as fast. OR, you can upgrade to a GenV for less than what they want for that...OR hell, you can even put a TVS1320 on your 3800 per SnowFlake if it is based off of his cost and still go faster.

To the OP...I'm sure if you had the tools and did the work yourself and all it cost you was materials and time...then it might be worth it.

I agree it is a waste of time...but I disagree about drilling out to lighten the pack...or whatever you would do to make it seem more efficient...if anything...I'd modify the case...port and polish the inlet and open up the outlet and delete the bolt bosses...which would probably do way more than messing with the rotor pack.

In the long run, it is a waste of time anyway you slice it...the GenIII M90 is a awful power adder.

There are benefits, but for the cost? Better power adder might be a better option.

Too much cash for the benefits. If it atleast was a twinscrew conversion pack and not a modded stock one, it would be more interesting.

Technically if it actually added up to 20whp like they claim.... It would be REALLY worth it for quite a few guys. As I said $150 is about what it would take.. and if you have no other options (like had a intercooler/xpz) it could offer some really key gains, if it works as advertised.
