There was a thread on here about an over-ambitious red 98 GTP owner who converted his to RWD... I'm thinking some nice thick rectangular steel tubing in place of those pinch welds, and the purple car could become the baddest GP to ever exist. Lol

But, that's a lot of work, and head scratching, and probably too much money just to have a purple turbo GP.

I get crazy ideas like that sometimes, and then as I'm typing I realize how ridiculous it is....oh well.

Yea definitely not going that route lol. Buying an fbody would be much easier/cheaper. TA doesn't sound like a bad idea now that I think about it

You could even use the parts you got now for a turdbo 3800 TA, then make turbo noises until you have enough saved to drop an LS engine in it. :D

No I'm not messing with a 3800 fbody. Already had two of them. It'll be an LS car or nothing. I thought about using my Stattama kit to use for a basis on an fbody but to find a decently clean 3800 car isn't much cheaper than an LS car

Well I think this is it. Car is throwing a P0742. Acts like the torque converter won't unlock in 2-3. I'm not going through the effort to pull the side cover and replace the solenoid. If I could do it dropping the pan I'd give it a shot but oh well. Might dump some seafoam in it to see if it frees up the solenoid or something but that's about it

Had to happen at some point. I wish there was a way to disable to TCC so I could at least drive it around town without it slamming into gear and almost dying every time it shifts

Can't you get to the side cover if you drop the subframe and lower the engine and transmission? Or do you have to completely remove the transmission?

Been pretty unsuccessful selling stuff. Might end up putting a trans in the car.
