• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Let's just rename this PurpleGuy's GTO tuning endeavor

Re: Marofan's "GTX" Stock pulley bidness on pg 37

What do you think would happen if you cut the suspension travel in half and ran the same soft spring? All you'd do is ride the bump stops. When you go lower you have to increase spring rate to keep from bottoming.

Re: Marofan's "GTX" Stock pulley bidness on pg 37

Well yeah you didn't mention the spring rate change after raising it up. LOL im sure that helps too. The 350/400 is whats in it now?
350 front? 400 rear?

Re: Marofan's "GTX" Stock pulley bidness on pg 37

Oh! Sorry. I should've been more specific. I went from the 400/350 coils to stock suspension. That's why it rides so much nicer.

Re: Marofan's "GTX" Stock pulley bidness on pg 37

So I'm going to be dropping again(already planned on it when I sold the coils). What I want to do is run my old Wbodystore rear springs and do another set of homeade coils up front. The Wbodystore springs do give a little bit of a drop at 1.5" or so. They're rated at 350/in which is what I had on my coils. I think they'll feel similar to what the coils did. Obviously it won't be the same, but it'll be eaiser running the drop springs in the rear and not worrying about a sway bar mount or cutting up more struts, lol.

I don't plan on dropping as much as I did before. Not sure if I should run 400# springs in the front or go 350# this time around, thoughts?

Also...decent trailing arms? Probably going to run Dorman sways in the front and back. A local buddy has a front STB he's supposed to be giving me sometime. Should handle somewhat decent when it's all said and done.

Also...AXLES. What's everyone like? I need to do axles before I drop again.

Re: Marofan's "GTX" Stock pulley bidness on pg 37

Well that's the second recommendation for Cardones. Which is awesome cause I get a discount at Oreily's.

Re: Marofan's "GTX" Stock pulley bidness on pg 37

Cardone racks and cv's are awesome trust me ive used both plenty of times. Also orealllllys has really cheap cores too if that matters i always pull the sh1t then go get what i need anyways.

Re: Marofan's "GTX" Stock pulley bidness on pg 37

All of the LED interior lights are in except for the map lights since I was at work and missed the Fedex guy. New axles are on the way. And a solid motor mount

Re: The Purple Car Stock pulley bidness on pg 37

Anyone have any ideas why the trans temp doesn't work on my aero?
