Hi i have a 2001 pontiac grand prix gtp the car started leaking coolant about 2 weeks ago so i kept toping it up, it has gotten to the point where it needs a full 3liters a day, the car has never overheated ive always caught it before it got to that point but it has came close 2 times there is now a orange rust looking dust all over the engine block but it is coming from right under my supercharger on the engine block. The car has also had troubles starting the other day where it turns over for like 30 seconds before it catchs and once it catches it stays a a super low idle and sounds like its going to die, there is also a really strong gas smell coming from under the hood, i change the spark plugs and wire 3 weeks ago and the pvc value and the fuel filter.
any help would be amazing thanks.

Chris,

no i havnt i only bought this car like 2 months ago havnt really did much. its my first grand prix and i have loved it until it started to seem like its dying .

i have it has went down in the last 2 days by half on the dipstick it is not sludge tho it has gotten a little darker but that is just normal i figured

While your at it, replace the throttle body gasket also.
I've read a few threads where people could not figure out where they were losing coolant and it ended up being the TB gasket.
Better to be safe than sorry.

the gas smell you have most likely is the fuel line quick connect on top of the supercharger. if you have a brown stain under it on the sc, its leaking.

you need to open the quick connect and change the O rings, you need a pick set, and fuel rated O rings. i picked up a small box of assorted O rings at napa for 5 bucks i think. just match the size of the old to the new ones.

BUNA or VITON o-rings will work with fuel. Silicone is bad.

thanks guys ya the elbows where leaking and i also need to replace the lim and the gas smell was coming from a valuestem right above the oil cap the stem was loose causing gas to spray out when i pushed the gas peddel and that cause it was loose it wasnt buidling enought pressure in the cyclinders to start the car properly.
