The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.
I would just reuse what you can from the GTP on the comp g so you keep it more budget friendly. Things like rocker bolts etc you can get from advance and just use a coupon code and get it even cheaper. Then part out what you can from the GTP to fund some off the build.
With the rust being as bad as it is..I would think you'll get more parting it out. Keeping the engine and tranny and scrapping the body. Keep the block as a spare or sell things that can't be moved too comp g like the gen v.
I'm def pulling all the performance parts off the gtp to put on the comp g. Speedbuilt sways and umi trailing arms should have that things handling like a boss.
You'll love it it's a wbody so it'll never ride like a Caddy but it will ride pretty good. Once i;m done with this build..it'll be suspension time can't wait.
Amazon for the gasket kit. Hands down. No questions.
Use ARP head studs if you are doing HG's
Oil pan, if you swap from steel to aluminum, yes change the pickup tube as well.
I assume you are using a Gen V charger and the DBW TB, so that's easy.
Swap evep and fuel rails over as well. (evap is on the charger)
Remember the ECT is most likely different, I'm not sure which year that changed, but it changed.
Flex should be fine, but I'd use the L32 dual drilled one.
